PDA aims to encourage you to engage, learn, & grow. We provide support, motivation, & opportunities to practice.

We are currently finalizing the content of the Academy retreat weekend, so below are some categories to give you a sense of our plan. Please stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the retreat date.

Grouped in six primary categories (or topic areas), PDA offers interactive workshops, demos, activities, and meetings, along with opportunities for fellowship to build community.

Informed by the 12-step model of sharing peer experiences, PDA's speakers & facilitators are from our men's recovery community.

Sex & Substances

• Breaking the association between sex & substances • Attending events where drugs & alcohol are present while still maintaining sobriety • Using tools drawn from 12‑step principles to support honesty, consent, and emotional presence in intimate situations.

Communication

• Understanding the importance of consent • Setting, maintaining, & respecting boundaries • Learning to speak directly & listen effectively • Asking for what we want & saying what we mean • Learning to be honest with ourselves & others about our desires & motivations

Self-Esteem & Self-Worth

Attendance for PDA’s residential retreat requires agreement to our Academy’s terms, pre-registration via a ticket purchase (via Eventbrite), and a Room & Board booking (via TicketSpice) for Deloro Valley.
